To promote the results of the study, ISRI created a short

video to illustrate the industry’s economic, environmen-

tal, energy, and trade benefits.

ISRI Scrap Yearbook

ISRI released its fourth

annual scrap yearbook in

2015. This annual publi-

cation provides the most

up-to-date overview of

the U.S. scrap industry and

global market, with the

2015 edition offering read-

ers extensive information about the scope of the scrap

industry and how it works, as well as the global benefits

it generates for the world.

ISRI Specifications

The ISRI Scrap Specifications Circular is an international-

ly recognized document offering guidelines for buying

and selling almost every processed scrap commodity.

Reviewed and updated regularly to reflect the expand-

ing range of commercially recyclable materials, the 2015

Circular included updates to both ferrous and nonferrous

specifications.

Through the leadership of ISRI’s PSI Chapter, in 2015 a

year-long process was initiated to review all the paper

specifications to ensure their continued relevance in

changing markets. This effort continues at the 2016 PSI

Specifications Summit, scheduled for February 3-5 in

New Orleans.
